Lynn Dugan RN, BSN, CASC
Current Position: Vice President Clinical Operations, Sovereign Healthcare
In 1994, I started by ASC career as staff RN in a free-standing ophthalmic ASC. At the time, I had no idea that I had found my passion. I was lucky to have a great mentor who challenged me and encouraged me to grow and learn the ASC business. I have had the opportunity to work as a staff nurse as well as manager and Director of Nursing and in 2008 I joined Sovereign Healthcare as Vice-President of Clinical Operations. In this role, I am responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of North Valley Surgery Center, Biltmore Surgical Center and Paramount Surgery Center. I am also involved in the clinical operations at Sovereign’s California surgery centers giving me the opportunity to travel.
In September of 2014, Sovereign Healthcare opened the largest multi-specialty ASC in the Arizona with 7 operating rooms, 4 endoscopy suites and 1 pain management suite in over 37,000 square feet. This was a very exciting time in my career and I am very fortunate to have had the opportunity to be part of it.
One of proudest professional achievements is receiving my CASC certification in 2012. Throughout the years I have been lucky enough to meet great people through professional organizations such as Arizona Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (AASCA) and ASCA. I have been a member of AASCA since 2008 and have served on the Board since 2010.
On a personal note, I have two beautiful and talented children. My daughter is 25 and has a Master’s degree in Viola performance from Juilliard. She is living and working in Santa Fe, Argentina. My son is 20 years old and is studying Trumpet performance at Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.
